Viewing a meeting transcript

2 min read

After a recording is imported, the transcript appears in the meeting record with speaker labels and colour-coded blocks so you can follow who said what.

Where to find it

Open the meeting from your dashboard and look for the Transcription panel in the middle of the screen. Click the panel header to expand or collapse it.

How it looks

The transcript is broken into blocks, one per speaker turn. Each speaker gets a consistent colour throughout the transcript making it easy to follow the conversation. Their name appears in bold at the top of each block with the spoken text below.

Up to ten speakers can be colour-coded in a single meeting.

How speaker names are resolved

When a recording is imported from Teams, speakers start as generic labels like Speaker A and Speaker B. Prospo uses AI to match these to the actual names of the advisers and contacts linked to that meeting. This happens automatically during import.

If a speaker could not be identified, their label stays as a placeholder. You can fix this by editing the transcript manually.

Live transcripts during recording

If your organisation uses in-app recording, a live transcript appears in real time during the meeting. You will see a pulsing LIVE indicator while recording is in progress and the text appears as the conversation continues.

Once the recording stops, Prospo maps the speaker labels to attendee names. You will see an Identifying speakers message while this is happening. When it is done the indicator changes to Live transcript ready.
