Manually importing a Teams recording
Manually importing a Teams recording
If a recording was not automatically imported, or you want to re-import an updated version, you can trigger the import yourself from within the meeting record.
Steps
- Open the meeting from your dashboard
- In the Transcription section, click Import from Teams
- Find the recording you want and click Import

Prospo will start downloading the recording and transcript in the background. You will see a message confirming the import has started. Refresh the page after a few minutes and the recording will appear in the Transcription section.
What you will see in the dialog
Each recording is listed with the date and time it was captured, a Transcript badge if a transcript is also available, and a status showing whether it is available to import, currently being processed, or already imported.
Uploading a local recording
If the recording is not in Microsoft's cloud, for example from a phone call or an in-person meeting, you can upload a file directly. Click Upload from local in the Transcription section and select your file.
Supported formats are .mp4, .m4a, .webm, .mp3, .wav, .vtt, and .json.
Troubleshooting
No recordings appear in the dialog - the meeting may not have been recorded yet or is still processing. Wait a few minutes and click Refresh.
Import button is greyed out - the recording has already been imported or is currently being processed. Check the status shown next to it.
Import started but nothing appears - refresh the page after 5 to 10 minutes. If it still does not appear, contact support.
